Diane Lynne (Howell) (Dobbs) Como

Diane Lynne (Howell) Dobbs Como, daughter of Lonnie W. and Esther C. (Staley) Howell, was born on October 22, 1948, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth.

     On August 7, 1971, Diane was united in marriage with Richard “Dick” Dobbs at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.  They made their home in Eagle Grove and had six children.  He preceded her in death on May 22, 1993.

      Diane married Bill Como on March 29, 1995, in Elmore, Minnesota.

      Diane enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, crafts, painting and being a grandmother. 

           Diane passed away at the age of 70 years on Monday, August 19, 2019.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband Richard Dobbs, parents Esther and Lonnie Howell and brother, Kelly Howell.

      Diane is survived by her husband, Bill Como of Eagle Grove; daughters, Shannon Resh (Dan) of Eagle Grove, Stephanie Rish (Bud Jacobson) of Eagle Grove, Serenity Dobbs of Eagle Grove, Sasha Wieth of Eagle Grove and Susannah Paeper (Cory) of Fairfield, CA; son, Jess Dobbs (Joy Charlson) of Eagle Grove; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Valerie Mohr of Eagle Grove and brothers, Steve and Lonnie Howell of Eagle Grove. 

       Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with a Graveside service to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery.

         Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
