Linda Jean Gilbranson

Linda Jean Gilbranson, the daughter of Robert E. and Lola (Rengstorf) Gilbranson, was born on February 22, 1950 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School “Class of 1968”.  She then attended cosmetology school.

     Linda was hairdresser for many years and co-owned Lin-Mar Hair salon until her retirement.  She then worked in Clarion and at Rotary Ann helping with activities.

       Linda loved animals – having many cats and dogs over the years.  She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking and she spent many days playing Yahtzee, various cards games and working on word searches and crossword puzzles with Jim.

       Linda passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Mercyone North Iowa in Mason City, at the age of 69 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and numerous beloved animals.

       Linda is survived by her cousins, Nancy (Lockwood) Siefert and her husband Mark and daughter Jennifer Smith, Steve Lockwood, Richard Lockwood, Michael Rengstorf, Kathy (Rengstorf) Parham, Peggy (Rengstorf) Holt and Debbie (Norem) Salaber; special friend, Jim Ralston and his family, Kellie and Dave Poncin, Kris and Amy Ralston, Amanda, Logan, Colton, Hayden, Johnny, Braeden and Adelie; her beloved dog, Chewey and many other family and friends.

     Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with visitation one hour prior to service time.
