M. Sue (Raisor) Lutz

Martha “Sue” (Raisor) Lutz, the daughter of Robert and Ada (Richardson) Raisor, was born on April 15, 1944, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth.

    In 1962, Sue married Hoover Hicks in Kentucky.  He preceded her in death in 2004.

    Sue worked as a waitress for many years - her favorite place she worked was the Red Lobster in Indianapolis – near the race track.

    Sue was always extremely busy sewing and cooking as she raised 11 children.  She was very selfless – her life revolved around her children, grandchildren or anyone who was in need. 

     Sue moved to Rotary Senior living in July of 2017 – after her daughter relocated to Eagle Grove from North Carolina.

    Sue passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, at the age of 74 years.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; nine children: Connie, Rusty, Hughy, Lonnie, Grace, Gene, Hugo, Henry and Hank and granddaughter, Hailey Huntley.

    Sue is survived by her daughters, T.J. (Tonjala) Huntley (Les) of Eagle Grove and Bonnie Lucas of Indianapolis, IN; 23 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Raisor (Maria) of Indianapolis, IN and Danny Raisor of Phoenix, AZ and many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Visitation will be on Thursday, March 14, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a service at 6:00 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Jason Cooper, officiating.  Refreshments will follow in the church basement.

    Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
