Alberta Anderson Obituary

Alberta Fern Anderson was born to Albert and Fern (Bloomquist) Warland in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on November 25th, 1943. Alberta married Merle Dean Anderson on July 14th, 1962, in Eagle Grove.

Alberta was a very hard-working lady she tiled, walked beans, and worked at a super-value as a meat cutter. She was also an amazing waitress at Los Amigos along with working at Kum and Go and Dodgers. After that, Alberta and the girls moved to Texas in 1985 where she flourished and managed the Texaco gas station. Soon after becoming the manager, she bought her beloved Ford Ranger. Not long after that, Alberta enjoyed her retired life.

Alberta enjoyed being a social butterfly, she spent lots of Wednesday and Saturday nights at the bowling alley. She also used her free time gardening, playing dice, and camping. Alberta was also a very big fan of being at the track watching go-karting, she was not afraid to jump in and join. Above all, she loved being a grandmother, she adored every one of not only her grandkids but her great grandkids.

Alberta passed away on Sunday, January 21st, 2024, in Lincoln, NE, at the St. Elizabeth hospital, surrounded by her two loving sisters, Barbra Wenzl and Shirley Ford, three daughters Connie Anderson, Cindy Hale-Anderson, and Crystal Anderson along with grandkids and great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Fern Warland; sisters, Janet Huffman, and Eldora Simmerman; ex-husband, Merle Anderson and great granddaughter, Lily Ann Mckeever.

Survivors include her beautiful daughters, Connie Anderson, Cindy Hale-Anderson, and Crystal Anderson (Curtis Timmons); 11 wonderful grandkids: Hollie Ortowski (Blake Ortowski), Zach Anderson, Heath Stockdale, Derek Anderson (Nicole MacDonald), Mandi Myers, Jodi Myers, Brandon Anderson (Courtney Anderson), Dusty Myers (Molly Hernandez), Scotty Hale (Andrea Gomez), Cassandra Timmons (Eddie Brose) and Carley Timmons and 34 beloved great grandchildren.
