Barbara Dee Ann (Killius) Wells was born on February 2, 1952, in Belmond, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Pearl Rose (Phister) Killius. She graduated from Belmond High School in 1970.
Barb was married to Dean Florea of Fort Dodge for six years and they had three children: Teri, Troy and Tara. She then married Danny Kepler from Webster and they had a son, Todd. Barb’s third marriage was to Charlie Wright of Eagle Grove, they were together for 12 years. Her fourth husband was Ken Bryson, that one was brief. In 2006, she married Tom Wells of Webster City and they divorced in 2009.
Barb lived in Eagle Grove for 34 years and made pizzas at Casey’s for 12 years.
Barbara loved playing bingo or going to the Casinos – when she could. Her family, children and grandchildren were her world – she loved watching her grandchildren grow up. Barb missed her dear friend, Sandy Willard, who passed away in December of 2010. She was very content staying home in the last few years, just enjoying her home.
Barbara passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, at the age of 68 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Audrey Krivachek and brother-in-law, Jerry Weatherman.
Barb is survived by her children: Teri Rasmussen (Tony) of Eagle Grove, Troy Florea (Kristi) of Manly, Tara Champagne (Ryan) of Eagle Grove and Todd Kepler of Eagle Grove; 9 grandchildren: Ashley Smith, Draven Rasmussen, Tyler, Brittany and Justin Florea, Brandon, Sadie and Adam Champagne and Kaylynn Kepler; one great-grandson, Wyatt Hackett; brothers, Scott Killius (Wendy) and Jim Killius (Denise); sister, Nicki Weatherman and many nieces and nephews.
