Betty M. (Larson) Conaway

Betty M. (Larson) Conaway, 94, of Eagle Grove, died on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove.  

     Betty was born on November 19, 1927, in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Lars B.  and Hazel M. (Hill) Larson.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth.

     On April 20, 1946, Betty was united in marriage with Donald E. Conaway, Sr. at the Church of Christ in Webster City. To this union, five children were born.  Don preceded her in death on July 27, 2005.

     Betty worked as a secretary for M&M Livestock and Eagle Grove Community Schools.

     Betty was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.  She loved playing Bridge and Pitch.  Betty and Don were avid Iowa Hawkeye fans and were season ticket holders for many years.

      Betty is survived by her five children: Donald Jr. Conaway (Cheri) of Cedar Rapids, Marcia Conaway of Colorado Springs, Colo; Bob Conaway (Merry) of Eagle Grove; Bev Conaway of Eagle Grove and William Conaway (Linda) of Webster City; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; sister, Nelda Kiley (Ernie) of Eagle Grove and many nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings and one great-grandson, Jax Robert Frazier.

       Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Foust Funeral Home.
