Betty Lou (Christopher) Copp

      Betty Lou Copp, the daughter of Lyle and Helan (Peterson) Christopher, was born on October 17, 1943. In Forest City, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Dows, Iowa,

      In 1960, Betty married William Hill Sr. in Yankton, South Dakota. They had two children, William and Connie. William Hill Sr. passed away in 1963.  In 1984 betty was united in marriage to Franklin Copp in Pendleton, Oregon.

      Betty enjoyed garage sales, flea markets and auctions.  She also enjoyed working outside in her garden.

      Betty passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove at the age of 79 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry Christopher and Lyle (Sonny) Christopher; sisters Phyllis Burlingame and Vila Armstrong and daughter, Connie Hill.

      She is survived by her son, William Hill Jr; sisters: Mary Schultz of Goldfield, Judy Eisenbacher of Algona and Sherry (Jim) Fletcher of Kanawha; brothers: Gary (Melanie) Christopher of West Branch and Oville Christopher of Pensacola, FL; stepchildren: Doris(Michael) (Smith) Tritle of Solan, Barry Copp of Storm Lake and Lynn Copp of Iowa Falls; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

     Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be at a later date.

     Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
