Curtis Earl Beckley, the son of Walter and Viola (Trulock) Beckley, was born on January 21, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge before joining the Army.
Curt was united in marriage with Marlene Hill on March, 5th, 1966 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. To this union they had four children: Lisa, Laura, Michelle and Randy. The couple lived in Eagle Grove from 1966 to 2005 and Coalville since 2005.
Curt started working for the Chicago North-Western Railroad in 1966 and later switched to the Union Pacific Railroad retiring in 2006 after 40 years as a conductor.
Curt enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, hunting and camping. One of his favorite things was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and Iowa Football Bowl games.
Curt passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family, at the age of 77 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Gordon, Wayne, Lois, Janice and David.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Marlene; daughter: Lisa (Shane) Blair of Shawnee, Kansas, Laura Mure, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Michelle Beckley of Olathe, Kansas; son, Randy (Cheri) Beckley of Coalville, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Beckley of Palacios, Texas and sister Judy Peterson of Springfield, Missouri.
