Donna J. (Wise) Hossman

       Donna J (Wise) Hossman, the daughter and oldest of four children, of Neil M. and Jessie Mae (Dawkins) Wise, was born on July 22, 1934 in Oto, Iowa.  Later Jessie married Henry P. Schultz and three sons were born.

      Donna met and married Francis Edward Hossman on October 20, 1951 in Vermillion, SD.  The couple lived in Oklahoma City for a short time before returning to Eagle Grove.   From this union the couple had two daughters, Gloria (Hossman) Snyder and Kay (Hossman) Jessen.

             Donna was a dietary aid at Rotary Senior Living for over 30 years before retiring in 2010.  In August of 2017, Donna moved to Clarion, where she lived with her daughter Gloria.

       Donna became a member of the United Methodist Church in 1961, where she was a member of Ruth Circle and UMW.  She also served on the board of Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. and was a member of Royal Neighbors and Rebekkah Lodge.

        Donna will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and great grandma. 

        Donna passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019, at home, at the age of 85 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Francis in 2008; daughter, Kay in 2011 and sister, Kathryn. 

        Donna is survived by her daughter, Gloria Snyder; granddaughter, Stacy Snyder (Mark Fjetland); great-granddaughter, Alianna (Ali) Fjetland; granddaughter, Sara Ell (Ryan); great-granddaughters, Mackenze and Kaelyn; granddaughter, Becky Zigrang (Jean);  great-grandson, Brandon; granddaughter, Megan Morris (Jason); great-granddaughter, Paige and great-grandson, Trentyn; five brothers: Marion Wise (Lucille), Melvin Wise, Larry Schultz (Sandy), Paul Schultz (Beth) and Tim Schultz (Stephanie) and many nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jim Roth officiating.  Visitation is Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. 

           Memorials will be left to the discretion of the family.
