Dorothy Elizabeth (Styve) Anderson

      Dorothy Elizabeth (Styve) Anderson, the daughter of Erick and Doris Styve, was born January 28, 1945 in Decorah, Iowa. 

      Dorothy was united in marriage with David. B. Anderson on July 17th 1964.  To this union four children were born, Rick, Shari, Scott and Jason.

      Dorothy worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Rotary Ann, a bus driver for the Eagle Grove Schools, and as a manager at Casey’s in Eagle Grove. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, crocheting, traveling, 5d diamond painting, playing games on her iPad, watching TV and most importantly, spending time with her family.

      Dorothy passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 78. She was a great wife and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, David B. Anderson; son, Jason Lee Anderson; parents, Erick and Doris (Ramsey) Styve; sister, Ester Peck; brother-in-law, Raymond Peck; mother and father in-law, Clifford and Lucille Anderson; sister-in-law, Carol Krambeer, and brother-in-law Ronald Krambeer.

     Dorothy is survived by her son, Rick (Vicki) Anderson; daughter, Shari (Wes) Houser; son, Scott (Tina) Anderson; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jerry Anderson; niece, Mary (David) Viktora and many great nieces and nephews.

      A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with a visitation from 9:30 to 11:00am.
