"Gary" Michael Duane Willard

May 13, 1952 ~ December 30, 2021 (age 69)


Michael Duane “Gary” Willard, the son of Louis and Jean (Conaway) Willard, was born on May 13, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove.

    Gary married Dora Loux in 1971 and they had three children: Bridget, Brandon and Michael. They divorced in 1990.

     Gary passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, surrounded by his family in Eagle Grove, at the age of 69 years.  He was Preceded in death by his parents; nephews, Steven Willard and Quincy Babcock; brothers Brady, Wade, Terry, Bud (Char)Willard and Mark and sister, Carla Schnell.

     Gary is survived by his children: Bridget Willard of Eagle Grove, Brandon Willard (Karla) of Eagle Grove and Michael Willard (Margarite) of Fort Worth, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Makayla Cortez (Moises), Raven, Kamree, Savanna, Logan, Sydney and Syrus; 8 great-grandchildren: Owen, Julian, Abran, Leticia, Laramie, Madelynn and  Wil; sisters: Naomi Hower of Wapwallopen, PA, Jacquelyne Thompson (Mark) of Glenville, MN, Michelle Peterson (Chris) of Eagle Grove, Candy Baker (Mike) of Eagle Grove, Gwen (Willard) Alcorn of Johnston and Kathy Skasick (Jack) of Beebe, AK; brother-in-law Melvin Schnell of Eagle Grove; sisters-in-law, Kathy Willard of Eagle Grove, Jane Willard of Eagle Grove and Sandy Willard of Eagle Grove and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

     Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family and mailed to 518 NW 1st Street Eagle Grove Iowa 50533.
