Obituary

Harriet Marie ‘Pat” (Rash) Miller, the daughter of Clayton and Jerusha (Montgomery) Rash, was born along with her twin Howard on April 9, 1921, in State Center, Iowa.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1939.

On January 18, 1942, Pat was united in marriage with Durwood Miller in Seattle, Washington, where he worked for Boeing Aircraft Company.  Three years later they moved to Eagle Grove.  Durwood preceded her in death on March 9, 1993.

Pat was involved in several community organizations, including Faculty Wives, the sewing and music departments of Equality Club and a hobby club.

Pat loved the Lord and accepted him as her savior and was baptized in the University Christian Church in Seattle.  When they moved back to Iowa, she and Durwood became active members of Park Church of Christ in Goldfield.  Pat taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years.  She loved playing the piano and was the church pianist for many years as well.  Pat faithfully read through the entire bible several times.

Pat received her eternal reward when she went to be with the Lord and Heaven gained an angel who was greatly loved and will be sorely missed on October 29, 2021, at Clarion Wellness & Rehab, at the age of 100 years.   She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Cory Miller and Christopher Naumann; four sisters; and two brothers
