Janelle Clavey Obituary

     Janelle Ellen Clavey, the daughter of William Howard Farmer and Rose Marie Lawrence, was born on October 20, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove.  Janelle lived in Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Vincent and Eagle Grove.

      Janelle was united in marriage to Raymond Clavey on December 31, 1994, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. 

      Janelle was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, ABATE of Iowa, Iowa Pool Association, Iowa Dart Association and Iowa Bowling Association.

      Janelle passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Rotary Senior Living, at the age of 70 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Howard Farmer and Rose Hallagan (Harold) and sister, Marilyn Bjornson.

      Janelle is survived by her husband, Ray, of Eagle Grove; children: Jennifer Penfield of Webster City, Tom Frakes (Ashlynn) of Hartford, Rachel Green (John) of Eagle Grove and Mitch Clavey (Erin) of Iowa City and nine grandchildren: Chris Struyk (Lindsey), Matt Struyk, Gabe Frakes, Ruby Frakes, Alexander Frakes, Maggie Green, Channing Clavey, Teagan Clavey and Killian Clavey.

        Visitation will be held at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove on Saturday, May 6 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. 

     Memorials may be directed to Rotary Senior Living or St. Croix Hospice.
