Jeromy Comstock was born on March 21, 1976, the Son of Gertrude Comstock and Walter Gross. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, Humboldt, and Clarion.
Jeromy enlisted into the Iowa National Guard in Eagle Grove his junior year, where he completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, the summer before starting his senior year. He was later discharged for personal reasons.
Jeromy married Tasha Hutchinson in 2004. They had two children together. They spent most of their married life in Minnesota and the couple later divorced. Jeromy then moved to Charles city and had two more children. Jeromy moved back to Wright County in 2020 to be closer to his family.
Jeromy worked mostly in manufacturing jobs, including Curries in Cerro Gordo County. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, at the casino, and taking drives.
Jeromy died suddenly on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the age of 47 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gert Comstock; infant brother, baby John; uncle, Les Comstock, and grandparents, Lois and Lester Comstock.
Jeromy is survived by his children: Riley, Avery, Weston and Axel; sister, Jamie (Jayson) Cramer of Goldfield; dad, Walter Gross; nieces, Dessa, Meah, and Arcadia; nephews: Gage, Chase, and Gunner; great nephews: Waylon and Wyatt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
