Joan Lucinda (Loecke) Frommelt

     Joan Lucinda Frommelt, the daughter of Andrew and Veronica (Langel) Loecke, was born January 30, 1933, at Greeley, Iowa.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and attended the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

     On September 9, 1954, Joan was united in marriage to George M. Frommelt in Greeley, Iowa.

     Joan worked as a nurse at the Clarion Hospital for 30 years.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove.

     Joan passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove at the age of 88 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Frommelt in 1983 and two sisters, Esther Funk and Kathleen Wiley.

     Survivors include her children: Terese (Dave) Mraz of Urbandale, Laura (Colin) Smith of Richmond Hill, GA, Jan (Don) Asche of Eagle Grove, Mark (Beth) Frommelt of Bend, OR, Julie Frommelt of Eagle Grove and Greg (Marsha) Frommelt of Eagle Grove; grandchildren: Nick, Gary, Veronica, Jacob, Adam, Anastacia,  Samantha, David, Mackenzie,  Jared, Abigail and Madeline and 11 great-grandchildren.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove with Father Jerry Blake celebrating.  Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 3:30 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove.
