John A. Foust

John A Foust, the son of Elmer and Ione Foust was born in Clarion, Iowa on December 14, 1943. He was raised and educated in Dows, Iowa and graduated in 1961.

      John lived in Dows, Iowa where he worked for Wright County as a Road Maintenance technician. He was an avid outdoorsman which included all things hunting, fishing and trapping. His favorite days were spent fishing with his buddy, John Asche. He enjoyed playing cards and helping cook for the Dows Stag night. John was married to Denise Root and they later divorced and Chris Asmus and they later divorced.

      John passed away at Rotary Senior Living on December 18th, 2022, at the age of 79 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Ione Foust.

      John is survived by his daughter, Tanja (Brian) Jensen of Clarion; son, Jay (Natalie) VanBuskirk of Minco, Oklahoma; son, Anthony (Angie) Asmus of Greeley, Colorado and daughter, Racheal Foust of Algona; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Jenenne White) Foust of Clarion; sister, Barbara (Sonny) Reighhard of Hedrick and sister, Sharon (Eddie) Rockow of Dows.

      Visitation will be held at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 4p.m.- 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Foust Funeral home in Eagle Grove.  Burial will at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.
