Lance Alan Pohlman, the son of Gary and Kathy Williams, was born on September 16, 1978, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was baptized at Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.
Lance was educated in the Eagle Grove and Clarion Schools, graduating from Eagle Grove High School “Class of 1998”. He moved to Clarion after graduation and was employed at various jobs through Unlimited Opportunities, where he met his first “fun mom”, Loreli Redemske. Lance had a strong work ethic and loved working for his independence and sense of accomplishment.
In 2005, Lance moved to Humboldt, where he lived and worked, at what eventually became LifeWorks Community Services. Through the years Lance worked at several jobs, from sheltered workshops to janitorial jobs, until his work on earth was finished.
Lance loved to laugh and getting to know people. He had a very upbeat personality ~ people who met Lance were not strangers for very long and he always remembered names and faces. Lance loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and was a movie fanatic – knowing every character in every movie.
Lance had recently moved into a “host home” with his “fun Mom & Dad” (Diane Williams & Kent Segebart) and host brothers, Hunter Giese and Cliff Williams. He enjoyed all the activities and outings he had a chance to participate in ~ recently coming to especially like bonfires and s’mores!!
