Lois Jean (Anderson) Sheets

Lois Jean Sheets, the daughter of Jesse and Anna (Cronin) Anderson, was born on March 9, 1933, in rural Livermore, Iowa.  Her family moved to Goldfield in 1938 and Goodell in 1947, receiving her education in these areas.

     On May 14, 1949, Lois was united in marriage to John Sheets in Clarion, Iowa. The couple moved to Goldfield in 1949, Woolstock in 1955, Webster City in 1982 and Eagle Grove in 1996. 

     Lois was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Woolstock where she served in the United Methodist Women and on the Administrative Board.  She was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. Lois wrote over 100 spiritual poems having many published, however, most were written for family and friends.  She also participated in numerous nursing home activities throughout her life. 

     Lois passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, at the age of 88 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Sheets; two great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Doug Pinkele; five brothers and two sisters.

     Survivors include her husband, John Sheets of Eagle Grove; daughter, Jeanine Pinkele of Eagle Grove; son, Eugene Sheets of webster City; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

     Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. 

      Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
