Obituary

Lyle Robert Cameron was born on March 10, 1945 the son of Eileen (Paskin) and Russell Cameron of Renwick, Iowa.

     Lyle graduated in May 1963 from Boone Valley High School in Renwick. Lyle married Sue Gregory in 1965 and they had two children Lee (Katie) Cameron of Livermore, and Amy (Travis) Tinken of Parkersburg.

     Lyle remarried in 1985 to Maureen Whyte Buhr of Goldfield who had three children from a previous marriage, Eric D. Buhr, Daniel A. Buhr and Sarah E. Buhr which made the clan complete.  

     Lyle was a very kind, and giving man, who lost a lengthy battle to Parkinson’s Disease. Lyle loved going to church, gardening and joking around with people.  He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

    Lyle is survived by brothers, Larry (Donna) of Ames,, Ken (Betty) of Ames, and Mark (Sharon) of Spencer; sister, Colleen (Arnie) Porath of Ankeny; 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

    Lyle went to be with the Lord on June 4th, 2023, surrounded by family and friends, he is the happiest he has ever been.

    Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Eagle Grove.
