Michael John Dolan

      Michael John Dolan, the son of Keith and Shirley (Crovisier) Dolan, was born December 18, 1958, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1977.

      Mike married Deb Smith in 1978, they lived in Bentonville, Arkansas for a short time before returning to Eagle Grove and later divorcing.  Mike married Shelly Mohr in 1993 and they had a son, Jacob Dolan. They later divorced.

           Mike worked for his parents autobody shop while he was in high school. Later in life he worked for Pro Golf in Clarion and Electrolux until it closed, then worked for Chuck Elberg as an electrician assistant.

     Mike was known as being a great outdoorsman.  He spent many hours hunting and enjoyed fishing with his friends, Ronnie Davis, Mark McCollough and Chuck Elberg. Mike also enjoyed asparagus and mushroom hunting in the spring.

     Mike passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge, at the age of 64 years.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

     Mike is survived by his parents; son, Jacob Dolan of Eagle Grove; brother, Mark Dolan (Denise); grandchildren, Axton Schaumburg-Dolan and Melenah Dolan; and niece Madison Dolan.

     Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.
