Nancy Omvig Obituary

Nancy Elaine (Bentley) Omvig, the daughter of Elmer and Hester Mae (Heidick) Bentley, was born on June 13, 1935, in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Kindergarten and First Grade in a one-room schoolhouse on White Fox Road near Webster City and completed her education in Webster City.

In 1951, she married Julian LeRoy Burdette Omvig and moved to Eagle Grove, where they raised four children: Randall, Richard, Russell and Julie Ann. Julian passed away in 1981.

Nancy met John Kramer in 1983 and they lived together for 23 years. He passed away in 2007.

Nancy loved painting and crafts, making gifts and creating artwork for many family members.

Nancy passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, at the age of 86 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren and daughter, Julie Ann Westley.

Survivors include her three sons and their spouses; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
