Paul Lee Rohrer, the son of Cyril and Gladys (Anderson) Rohrer, was born on August 28, 1935, on the Rohrer farm near Clarion, Iowa. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1953.
Paul enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1954. On December 26, of that year, Paul was united in marriage to Phyllis Mae Horton at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. The couple had three children and made their home in many cities, while Paul was stationed in the Air Force, including: Biloxi, Tacoma, Boston, Detroit, Denver and Chatham. Paul and Phyllis returned to Eagle Grove in 1992.
Paul passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 21, 2021, at his home in Eagle Grove at the age of 85 years. He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Mark Rohrer; parents; sisters, Roberta “Bobbi” Kroblin and Carol Heimland and brother, Quentin Rohrer.
Paul is survived by his two sons, Scott Rohrer (Christine) of Rockford, IL and Todd Rohrer (Nuala) of Elizabeth Towne, KY; five grandchildren: Melissa, Monica, Matthew, Sean and Rachel; five great-grandchildren: Reagan, Kaidence, Sydney, Hunter and Charly; sister, Karen (Rohrer) Watts and brother, David Rohrer.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with Deacon Pedro Garcia officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, rural Woolstock, Iowa.
