Paula Marie (Ogan) Olson

Paula Marie Olson, the daughter of Raymond and Etta (Wyatt) Ogan, was born on February 23rd, 1951 in Fort Dodge, IA.  She was raised Hardy and educated in Renwick.

    Paula was united in marriage to Maurice Olson Jr “Butch”, on September 15th, 1967 at the Ullensvang Church in Thor Iowa. The couple had two children, Sharon and Kevin. 

     Paula worked for Dodger Industries in Eagle Grove and Unkies in Thor, her favorite job was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Paula was a member of Ullensvang Church in Thor.  She enjoyed crocheting and gardening but most of all she enjoyed “Touching Buttons” at the casino.

     Paula passed away on Thursday, September 11th, at Mercy Medical Center, DSM at the age of 74 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters: Barb Rosenbaum and Vicky Hansen. 

     Survivors include her husband of Butch; daughter, Sharon Groat (Todd); son, Kevin Olson (Robin); grandchildren: Chantel Groat (JJ Mrla), Cheyenne Groat (Kade Doud), Miranda Olson (Matt Rasmussen), Jordon Christensen (Kiley), Taylor Christensen (Marcie) and Kaden Wolterman; great-grand-children: Hudson, Rhett, Granger, Blake, Myles, Lilliana, Lainey, Huxley, Jaxton, Ivy, Ava and Chloe; and brothers: Phillip and Joseph Ogan.
