Roger A. Schipull

Roger Allen Schipull, the son of Raymond and Grace (Krause) Schipull, was born January 17, 1953, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He graduated from Boone Valley High School with the “Class of 1971” and then attended Iowa Central Community College in the Farm Mechanics program.

         On April 6, 1980, Roger was united in marriage to Becky Snell at the Methodist Church in Renwick.  She passed away on August 6, 2002.  Roger married Sheryl (Kulow) Sherman on November 16, 2013, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

         Roger farmed for 45 years in the Hardy area raising hogs, cattle and chickens.  He served on the Vernon Township cemetery board, Iowa Cattleman’s Association and the Iowa Pork Producers Association.  Roger also served in many different capacities as a member of the Renwick United Methodist Church and was a member of the Goldfield United Methodist Church.

       Roger passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge at the age of 69 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Becky; sister, Sharon McMillan and a brother-in-law, Anthony McMillan.

      Roger is survived by his wife, Sheryl Schipull of Hardy; children: Mike (Stacie) Werner of Milford, Scott (Tammy) Werner of Spirit Lake, Kim (Troy) Tolman of Spirit Lake, Christina (Brice) Loonan of Tracy and Nicole (Mike) Kottenstette of Sully; 15 grandchildren: Corey and Rachel Werner, Matthew (Kayla)Kelly, Emily and Nicholas Werner, Gage Parker and Carson Tolman, Madison and Owen Loonan and Carsen, Paxten, Rylen, Greysen and Kypten Kottenstette; great granddaughter, Raelynn Kelly and Baby Kelly due in April;  brothers, Dennis (Ramona) Schipull of Northwood and Bruce (Kim) Schipull of Hardy; sisters, Glenda (Mike) Hall of Greeley, CO and Diane (Randy) Sykora of Windom, MN as well as other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor’s Jason Cooper, Lynn Gardner and Alaire Willits officiating.  Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.  Burial will be in Vernon Township Cemetery near Renwick.

    Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
