Ron L. Siemens

Ronald (Ron) L. Siemens passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, after 14 months of working hard to beat the odds against glioblastoma. 

      Ron was born on July 6, 1960 to Frank and Ellen Siemens.  He attended Boone Valley Community School in Renwick, Iowa, graduating in 1978. He attended DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa, and graduated with an Associate’s degree in 1980.  He then moved back to Renwick and worked in sales at Boone Valley Implement, and eventually took ownership of BVI in 2011. 

      He was married to Monica Forbes in 1987; they made their home in Goldfield. They later divorced in 2016. 

      Ron loved life and adventurous living and loved all the dogs he and Monica had thru the years.  He is loved and he will be missed by his family and friends.

      Ron is survived by his parents, Frank and Ellen, sisters, Trish (Rod) and Karen (Joe), niece Lindsey (sons, Jack and Ryan), nephews, Brett, Jeremy (Olivia) and Brad.  He is also survived by his best friend and care giver, Monica Forbes, Dick and Bev Forbes, John Forbes and family, Brian Forbes and family, and Mark Forbes and family.

     Memorials may be left to the Humane Society of Wright County or Gateway Hospice.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at the Clarion Church of Christ in Clarion with Pastor Warren Curry officiating.  Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
