Steve D. Lindstrom

    Steven Duane Lindstrom, the son of Donald and Frances (Yoder) Lindstrom, was born on July 18, 1955, in Webster City.   He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating with the “Class of 1973”.  Steve enlisted in the United States Navy and served for 4 years.

    Steve owned his own painting business for years along with working for Farmland, AGP, Chantlands and Mertz Engineering throughout his life.

     Steve had one son, Blake.  They played 1000’s of pool games together and he loved watching him get better and hustle people.  He loved fishing, hunting and wandering around fields with boots caked full of mud looking for arrowheads.  Steve and Blake spent so much time together doing outdoor activities and random thoughtful things for people he loved.

      Steve passed away on Wednesday May, 13th, 2026, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the age of 70 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

      Survivors include his son, Blake Lindstrom; brothers: Larry (Margaret) Lindstrom and Donald (Mary) Lindstrom; sisters, Christine (Wilbert) Portis, Rene (Jack) Dreyer, and Ginger (Dan) Harlan; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

      A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20th, 2026. at Rails Depot, Eagle Grove.

      Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
