Susan Ann Haines of Eagle Grove, Iowa passed away on April 24, 2024 at Unity Point Hospital.
Susan is the daughter or Earl and Lois Correia, born on February 29th, 1956 in Oakland, California. Susan was a social butterfly and made friends where ever she went. She was a very crafty person and could do anything she put her mind to. She loved music and playing her flute since she was a young child. She then played in the Carson City Community Band for many years in Carson City, Nevada where she settled down and raised her family. That gave her the opportunity of going to Australia to play at the Sydney Opera House when she was in her 30’s. She later in life went back to school where she got her bachelors in teaching and spent many years working as Substitute teacher / Para educator at the Eagle Grove School District.
She is survived by her significant other Brian Erickson; daughter, Mistee (George) Briese of Eagle Grove; son, Chris (Melissa) Miller of Webster City; grandchildren: Justyn Miller, Nicolle Miller, George Briese Jr., Logan Miller and Zoey Miller.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
The family would like to thank all our Friends, Doctors, Nurses and Eagle Grove EMS who had helped Susan over the last few years.
