Terry A. Willard

    Terry Alan Willard, the son of Louis and Jean (Conaway) Willard, was born on November 27, 1944, in Waterloo, Iowa. 

    On August 27, 1993, Terry married Sandra Wilson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

    Terry drove truck for Van Diest for 23 years and after retiring in 2006, he drove Bus for Eagle Grove Schools, finally retiring in 2014.

     Terry enjoyed singing Karaoke in his garage and spending time and a beer with family and friends – Always ready for just one more!!   He also liked woodworking, golfing and spending time in his Garden!!

     Terry passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge, at the age of 75 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wade Willard, Brady Willard and Louis (Bud) Willard; sister, Carla Schnell; brother-in-law, Ed Hower; nephews, Steven Willard & Quincy Babcock; in-laws, Jim and Dorothy Wilson and son-in-law, Donnie Hauser.

     Terry is survived by his wife Sandy Willard of Eagle Grove; daughters: Teri Jo Pohlman (Alan) of Eagle Grove, Mackenzie Daggett (Justin) of Manson, Cheri Wilcox of Webster City, Kelly Angelico of Eagle Grove, Nikki Hauser of Eagle Grove, Leigh Elvins (Jeff) of Clarion and Julie Hill (Ryan) of Eagle Grove; son, Anthony Willard (Amy)  two brothers, Gary Willard of Eagle Grove and Mark Willard of Eagle Grove; six sisters: Kathy Skasick (Jack) of Beebe, AR, Naomi Hower of Glen Lyon, PA; Candy Baker (Mike) of Eagle Grove, Jackie Thompson (Mark) of Glenville, MN, Gwen Alcorn of Eagle Grove, IA and Michelle Peterson (Chris) of Eagle Grove; sisters- in-law, Kathy Willard of Eagle Grove, Jane Willard of Eagle Grove and Denise Wilson of Dakota City; brothers-in-law, Melvin Schnell of Eagle Grove, Doug Wilson of Dakota City and Mike Wilson (Amy) of Kennsett and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces,  nephews and cousins.

      A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Depot at Rails.

    Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
