Tyrese (Shea) Matthew Stone

      Tyrese (Shea) Matthew Stone, the son of Kristin Stone and Albert Lucas, was born on June 9, 1999, in Storm Lake, Iowa.  He was raised and educated in Storm Lake, Cherokee and Eagle Grove, graduating with the Eagle Grove “Class of 2018”. Tyrese attended the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake and was confirmed in 2014.

      Tyrese (Shea) was currently enrolled at Kirkwood Community College where he was studying graphic design and dreamed of being an I.T. in computer engineering and was very tech literate.

       Tyrese (Shea) was a kind, loving soul who loved cats and was an avid gamer and was known to be a music enthusiast.  He was a proud member of the LGBTQ+ Community and was a vocal advocate. Tyrese (Shae) loved spending time with his family and friends.

     Tyrese (Shea) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his residence in Johnston, Iowa at the age of 23 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lucas; cousin, Mateo Cabrera; and great-grandparents, Keith and Jean Stone.

     Survivors include his mother, Kristin Stone; de facto dad, James Wilson, brother, James (Marissa Soule) Wilson; sisters Alicia Wilson and Heather Santos; two nieces; two nephews and many other family members and friends.

      A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake with visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In Support of Tyrese’s (Shea’s) community, please wear something supporting Pride.

     Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
